R2 Website Relaunch and SIPS Mission Award

Website Relaunch

Today, we are relaunching our journal website with a revised design and several features to further increase the levels of transparency and accessibility.

  • “Under Review” section: Explore articles that have been submitted to R2 and are currently under review. If available, you will be able to read reviews of concluded review rounds and check out lay summaries created by our Science Communication Champion.
  • “Who we are” page: At R2, we are more than an editorial team. We are a community of researchers who pursue the mission to support replications. Our new team page now has photos of all members, a brief introduction on who we are, as well as media coverage.
  • Making research accessible for all with our new article page: Article pages now contain reader statistics, lay summaries, and if available direct links to peer review reports, reproducibility certificates, data, and materials. Articles can be read directly on the site and an (experimental) HTML viewer lets you customize font type, size, and many more things to make reading the articles as enjoyable as possible.

Let us know your thoughts and wishes about the website as we continue to improve it. For now, replicationresearch.org will coexist with the canonical website that is generated from the Open Journal System (https://ejournals.uni-muenster.de/replicationresearch) and its content is pulled out of it alongside its API so that information is consistent across the two.

 

SIPS Mission Award

This week, the Society for the Improvement of Psychological Science has announced its annual awards and we are more than happy that R2 received one out of three SIPS Mission Awards. One of the other two awards went to our partners at the Institute for Replication for their Replication Games format. We look forward to having them as co-organizers for the Münster Reproduction Games in two months (registrations are still open). Moreover, the Love Replications Week (https://forrt.org/love-replications-week/) that was co-organized by our hosts FORRT and MüCOS, received a SIPS Commendation.
